The Dublin MEP Brian Hayes has defended his
own performance as Director of Fine Gael’s 2016 Election campaign. Mr Hayes
also says that the final result of the election could not have been forecasted.
Speaking in the European Parliament, Mr Hayes however conceded that an
independent assessment of Fine Gael’s electoral performance may be needed.
