The European Parliament this week voted for plans to boost trust in the EU approval procedure of pesticides by making it more accountable and transparent.
The majority of MEPs approved a report that was put forward by a special European Parliament committee that was set up last February to investigate the authorisation procedure for pesticides. It was established after the controversial 5-year renewal of glyphosate.
