The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness is urging
banks to show more sensitivity to farmers when it comes to repaying their loans.
Her comments follow the recent decision by Glanbia to establish the MilkFlex
fund to help dairy farmers cope with price volatility by providing them with
flexible loan arrangements. Ms McGuinness says new methods are needed to
provide funding for farmers.

Taoiseach obliged to warn about Brexit impact – Kelly

The Taoiseach has every right to
warn about the negative impacts of the UK leaving the EU. So says the Fine Gael
MEP Sean Kelly who was responding to assertions by Pro-Brexit campaigners that the
Irish government was scaremongering and interfering in British domestic
