Hogan says EU has allocated money to tackle farming crisis – European Parliament

The farming crisis in Europe was hotly
debated in the European Parliament this morning. MEPs called on Phil Hogan, the
EU Agriculture Commissioner, to do more to help farmers cope with the
challenges of making a living today. He said money is being allocated to
alleviate the crisis in the European agriculture sector.

‘Ming’ Flanagan challenges Hogan to ‘take on the cartels’ & retail sector – European Parliament

The farming crisis in Europe has been hotly
debated in the European Parliament this morning. MEPs have been calling on the EU
Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan, who was in the Parliament, to do more to
help farmers cope with the multiple challenges in the agriculture sector. The Independent
MEP Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan called on the Commissioner to instigate a number of measures.

Life goes on as normal in Brussels despite attacks – Ni Riada

The Sinn Fein
MEP Liadh Ni Riada says life has to go on as normal in Brussels despite the
recent terrorist attacks that claimed 32 [thirty two] lives and injured [three
hundred and forty] 340. The Ireland South MEP was speaking in the European
Parliament where last night MEPs stood for a minute’s silence to mark those
killed and injured in the attacks. MEPs today will debate existing and new
ways to fight terrorism. According to Liadh Ni Riada people can’t live their
lives in fear of an attack.
