Britain’s relationship with EU ‘fraught’ and uncertain – Childers

The Scottish referendum and its implications for the UK’s membership of the EU has been a hot topic of discussion among MEPs this week [Sept ’14] It’s not clear what would happen if Scotland votes for independence but opts to stay within the EU. And the British Prime Minister David Cameron is demanding a range of reforms to the EU which could transform Britain’s relationship with the 28-member Bloc. However, the Independent MEP Nessa Childers says the on-going confusion over the UK’s future within the EU is difficult.
