Drivers who commit traffic offences in one
EU country will be tracked and penalised in their own country in the future.
The European Parliament is this week set to pass a new EU law that will enable
EU countries to exchange vehicle registration data to ensure traffic offenders
are punished. The Fine Gael MEP Deirdre Clune – who is on the European Parliament’s
transport committee explains.
