European Parliament votes for better governance at FIFA

The European Parliament today voted for
better governance at FIFA. MEPs overwhelmingly passed a resolution calling for
a ‘zero-tolerance policy on  corruption
in football’. The MEPs welcomed the resignation of the former FIFA president
Sett Blatter. And they called on the Federation to appoint an interim president
to replace him. The Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly, who’s a former president of the
GAA, says a range of changes needs to be made at the very top levels of
FIFA.
