GAA Connolly decision condemned by former GAA president – Kelly

The former president of the GAA Sean Kelly
has denounced last weekend’s decision to clear Diarmaid Connolly to play for
Dublin against Mayo in the semi-final. The GAA’s Disputes Resolution Authority
made the decision after Connolly appealed earlier bans after he was sent off
for striking Lee Keegan in the closing stages of the previous match last Sunday
week. But the Fine Gael MEP for the South constituency says the decision sets a
bad precedent.
