Minute’s silence for victims of Brussels attacks in European Parliament – Ni Riada

MEPs stood for a minute’s silence last
night for those killed and injured in the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels,
during the opening session of the European Parliament’s plenary session in
Strasbourg.  The
Parliament’s President Martin Schulz condemned the
attacks as a cruel, inhuman and cynical attempt to infect Europeans with fear
and hatred. MEPs will today debate ways to fight terrorism in Europe. The Sinn
Fein MEP Liadh Ni Riada says there are no easy ways to tackle the terrorist
threat in Europe.
