We’d fight ‘tooth and nail’ against European Army – Boylan

EU calls for a single military headquarters for civilian and military missions have been getting mixed reactions from MEPs in the European Parliament. Yesterday, the President of the European CommissionJean-Claude Juncker said the EU needed to move towards having common military assets. Mr Juncker has previously called for the establishment of an EU army which he’s said would help the EU to persuade Russia it’s serious about defending the values of the EU. However, the Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan said her party was absolutely opposed to the idea of a European Army.

Out words: fight it
