The Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy gives his response to the recent EU Commission ruling on Apple’s tax arrangements with Ireland. The EU Competition Commissioner Margarethe Vestager addressed MEPs in the Parliament today on her recent decision that found, in the Commission’s view, that Ireland granted Apple illegal tax benefits.  

The Independent MEP Marian Harkin has
called on the EU Competition Commissioner to clarify what will happen to the
€13billion Apple tax rebate if the European Court of Justice finds against
Ireland and Apple. Ms Harkin was speaking during a debate in the European
Parliament today on the Apple tax ruling. The EU Competition Commissioner
Margrethe Vestager addressed MEPs on her recent ruling.
