Global support needed on Paris Climate Change deal – Kelly

The Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly is warning a global effort will be needed to meet the Paris climate change targets. Mr Kelly was speaking in the European Parliament which this week ratified the UN Paris Climate Change agreement. It  aims to prevent global temperatures from rising above two degrees Celsius. Mr Kelly referred to the previous UN Kyoto Agreement which non-EU countries failed to adhere to.

Hard border inevitable if UK leaves Customs Union – Hayes

The Fine Gael MEP Brian Hayes says a hard border will have to be established between Northern Ireland and the Republic if the UK leaves the Customs Union. Mr Hayes was speaking in the European Parliament where Brexit was a hot topic of discussion again this week during its plenary debate.
