MEP calls for EU intervention in Irish-Polish dispute

Jobs and money have been lost as a result of the on-going payments dispute between 3 Irish Construction firms and the Polish Roads Authority. That’s according to the Fine Gael MEP, Brian Hayes who this week called for EU action to resolve the dispute. He says SIAC, Sisk and Roadbridge have not received payment for Polish road building projects, which received EU funding. Speaking in the European Parliament [Sept 2014] Mr Hayes said the losses to the Irish companies involved have been substantial.
