MEPs today vote on motion of censure against Juncker

MEPs in the European Parliament are voting today on a motion of censure against the EU Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker. The motion was tabled by 76 MEPs who say Mr Juncker’s reputation and credibility have been damaged by the so-called Lux Leaks. The Independent MEP Marian Harkin says the leaks have tainted Mr Juncker’s ability to be seen as an objective broker.

Provide services for victims of sexual abuse – ni Riada

Victims of sexual abuse by members of Sinn Fein or the IRA must be provided with proper services. That’s according to the Sinn Fein MEP Liadh ni Riada who was responding to the ongoing fallout from the Mairia Cahill stories. She was speaking at the European Parliament in Strasbourg

Sexual abuse must be tackled – Ni Riada

The Sinn Fein MEP Liadh ni Riada says that the cases of those alleging they were sexually abused by Sinn Fein and IRA members must be dealt with. Ms ni Riada says she supports the establishment of a unit that is victim based. She says those with any information about abuse should go forward to the proper services.
