Kelly calls for inclusion of Shannon-Foynes port in EU transport corridor

The Gael MEP Sean Kelly is calling for the inclusion of Shannon-Foynes port in the Trans-European Transport Corridor. The Ireland
South MEP says the deep water port merits inclusion in one the EU’s major
transport network systems. He was speaking from the European Parliament where
MEPs this week adopted a draft law on improving the efficiency of port services
through the EU. Mr Kelly says Shannon Foynes could qualify for EU funding if it
were to be included in this transport network.
