FG/FF coalition conversation ‘quite far’ – McGuinness

The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness says
that Fine Gael and Fianna Fail have a way to go yet before they can start negotiating
to potentially form a coalition government. Ms McGuinness, who is a Vice-President of the European
Parliament, says the establishment of trust is the first step for any negotiations
between any of the political parties or groups.

Adams will continue on as Sinn Fein Leader- Carthy

The Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy has rejected
suggestions that Gerry Adams will be relinquishing the leadership of Sinn Fein.  Mr Carthy, who was Sinn Fein’s director of the 2016 elections, says that he expects Mr Adams
to continue on in his position as Sinn Fein leader adding that his role in the
Northern Ireland peace process cannot be discounted.

McGuinness strongly defends Enda Kenny as FG leader

strongly defended Enda Kenny in his role as Taoiseach and leader of the Party.
Ms McGuinness says she has no doubts about Enda Kenny remaining on as Fine Gael leader. Speaking from the European Parliament Ms McGuinness says Mr
