The Fine Gael MEP Brian Hayes says he
thinks it’s a good thing that people in Britain will have the right to vote on
the promised referendum on EU membership. The Dublin MEP says the referendum
will be a ‘good thing for democracy’. He also believes that Ireland can play a
significant role in helping to handle Britain’s forthcoming negotiations with the
EU in the run-up to the referendum.
